Thanks for taking the time to check out the blog, I’m Megan, a Vinyasa yoga teacher, a self love and body confidence advocate and an entrepreneur. I’ve recently completed my 200 hour teacher training, now teaching at local studios and loving every minute of it. But why do you believe so much in yoga and it’s benefits you might ask.
Well, my relationship with yoga has certainly been on and off over the last five years. It wasn’t until I finished university and life totally changed that I cultivated a strong and daily yogic practice. Leaving university and graduating was a difficult time for me, I had to move back in with my parents to save some money; I didn’t have the dream graduate job that I always thought I would have, and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. I felt like I had totally failed, everyone around me seemed so put together when I was crumbling to pieces. Long story short, I became depressed, but found a place of peace and comfort on my mat. On my mat I could forget about everything around me and focus on becoming stronger both mentally and physically. I learnt that my body could do things I never expected it to and my mind could find a place to settle.
I realised that I had to share this knowledge with others around me. I couldn’t be the only person my age feeling this way and if I could help others then that would be a huge achievement. So, here I am. This is me. I want to teach you how yoga is great for your body, mind and spirit. I want you to learn how to love yourself and not beat yourself up when life takes an unexpected turn. This is a safe space to be yourself and learn how to move your body in the way that works for you.
